University of New Hampshire and University of Utah
I attended my State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry. After college, I had the opportunity to move to Salt Lake City, Utah under the apprenticeship of Dr Roger Williams in the Department of Cardiovascular Genetics where I did research and founded the Inherited High Cholesterol Foundation for individuals and families at risk of early heart disease and death.

Dartmouth Medical School
While a student at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine, I immersed myself in experiences and opportunities related to women's health.
I was a Albert Schweitzer Fellow researching avenues for improving teen pregnancy prevention programs in the NH & VT area and tutoring and mentoring young teenage mothers.
I organized the Women’s Health Elective for first and second year students, lead Dartmouth's Chapter of Medical Students for Choice, served on the Board of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, and was awarded the Hilda Sokel Award for Leadership in Women's Health upon graduation in 2001.

Harvard School of Public Health
I obtained a Master's of Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health where I learned about research-based frameworks of health and disease causation that consider the whole person within the context of their eco-psycho-social environment. I believe we need to work to improve our environment, so it is easier to make healthy choices and have healthy behaviors.

Cambridge Health Alliance
As a resident at Harvard's Cambridge Health Alliance, I cared for women from all over the world, expanding my cultural awareness and leading me to seek out other diverse professional experiences.
